A few weeks ago, there was a possibility to travel to Bangladesh for the second time in Nine months. My first travel was in December, when Odes was invited to attend the EASA Summit.
I gave a gifts in a special freelancer segment of the conference, and was completely blown away by the level of tension, hospitality, and excitement around the oDesk and online work. ODesk has achieved rocker status. Thankfully, I had a 30-hour return trip to the coach seat to Come-back to me.
In my discussions with the people of Bangladesh, the opportunity to lose in traditional BPO and IT outsourcing is obvious. They have a lot of wealth and economic growth in countries like India and the Philippines, and then someone else is becoming the center of innovation.
Traditional outsourcing is still relatively small in Bangladesh, and many people talk to me about the feeling of sharing that they miss the boat.
I
have logged in more than a thousand hours for my clients from some
countries like the United States, Canada, Saudi Arabia ... My clients
are happy with my work and I am very grateful to them. I left my call
center a year ago. Now I work all the time at Odesk and manage my family very easily. On special occasions I can buy a gift for my mother and even when there are no occasions! She loves to see her smile when she is surprised and happy. Now there are many vacations in my life! Wherever I go, I go with my laptop and wireless internet connection. My office is everywhere. Now I am free, confident and happy.
